    What do these terms mean?

    qu'un
    qu'il
    qu'on
    qu'elle

    I believe it means... (I'm drawing back from my GCSE days...)

    qu'un - that a
    qu'il - that he
    qu'on - that we
    qu'elle - that she

    This is just from memory thought so could someone please confirm this? I don't want to have given wrong advice!

    On is like a general sort of 'you', that doesn't really mean you as in addressing someone particularly, rather just a general state of what one does here ('one' being the best translation here). As in:

    "On ne peut pas fumer ici" (One/You/People/We cannot smoke here - or more frequently, 'smoking is not permitted here')
