Anyone planning to steward festivals with Oxfam, mainly Reading and Bestival?? Watch

    Anyone planning on volunteering with Oxfam and going to reading or bestival?? Anyone done it before?? Am planning to go on my ones as my friend bailed, anyone else going alone, or know how easy it is to get talking to other stewards?? Cheers!

    I did what you're planning to do, but at the Leeds festival. It was a great time! Did five days straight of 12 hours on, 12 hours off. You were given an all-areas access pass - so you were able to decide how you wanted to spend that free 12 hours . Everyone is in the same boat as you and like-minded, hence it's really easy to meet lots of people. You will really enjoy yourself.

    Same happened to me my friend bailed last minute. I volenteered at reading, not with oxfam though. Just talked to whoever by the time I had reached the campsite I had met someone on my shift, we camped with some randomer had a great time camped with them this year too, one of them ended up as my supervisor!
