Anyone planning to steward festivals with Oxfam, mainly Reading and Bestival?? Watch

    Anyone planning on volunteering with Oxfam and going to reading or bestival?? Anyone done it before?? Am planning to go on my ones as my friend bailed, anyone else going alone, or know how easy it is to get talking to other stewards?? Cheers!

    As long as you're sociable it's fine. I did it last year with a different organisation in Bestival, easy to meet new people. Of course with Oxfam you're staying with the same people for ages so it's easy to get to meet people.

    I am volunteering at Bestival! I am travelling up on the Tuesday beforehand though to attend steward training.

    I'm volunteering at Bestival! Except I planned for ages to do it with a friend but she doesn't return from Croatia in time so now I'm going on my own so basically the same as you. I'll probably be travelling by train from Either Reading or Basingstoke down to Portsmouth and getting the ferry from Gunwharf x
