What caused the fire, or the explosion? The former, probably something trivial. The latter... i'm going to guess the fire at the fertiliser plant!
No one seems to know at this stage how this started

This kind of stuff happens every week. Its just that the two of the most recent things (although not the worst things - 23 bombs in Iraq...) have been in America.

No disrespect to those that have lost their lives or been injured, wherever they are.

This kinda stuff happens around the world every week.

Because it's not in America it's not reported nearly as much.

"A fuel tanker has exploded after colliding with a bus filled with passengers on a highway in southern Nigeria, killing at least 36 people, according to an official."

That happened a couple of weeks ago but I can't remember hearing anything about it.

I reckon there's a good possibility this is linked to the 20th anniversary of the violent end of the siege of the Branch Davidian compound at Waco.

That event itself prompted the Oklohama City federal building bombing on April 19th, 1995.

Clearly, if your mother and a woman in Africa died on the same day, you're just an utter ******* if you don't render equal grief and mourn the African woman just as much.
