I have norton internet security installed and an icon has came up twice saying Norton blocked W32 Ramint.A-no action needed.

After checking the internet-it says that it comes from a hacker and you should get something done

    -Did Norton keep everything ok?
-What should I Do as i might do transactions on this computer and don't want anyone seeing them (as anyone would do)?
-Also all the antivirus websites-Symantec,AVG Etc are all unavailable

As you can tell it may be paranaio as they info i read dates back to 2010 and 3 years later it should be combatable

Thanks a lot to anyone who can help

Ramint is part of the W32/ZBot suite, which primarily focuses on keylogging online banking details.

If Norton has blocked it, then it should be inactive.

Restart into Safe Mode and have Norton do a full scan and see what it says. It should be able to remove it instead of just blocking it every time.

Thanks for the reply.i did as you said and did a full scan in safe mode and after it there were no security risks found.

i don't know wether to rejoice or be a bit suspicious as The whole "no antivirus website working thing when searched" had me worried tbh and i really want the problem to be fully fixed.

Any ideas? If not I'll have to try PC world and they do charge a pretty packet.

    Thanks again
