I have gained a 64% average in my 2nd year essays, and a 57% average is needed to do a dissertation.
Would you say a 64% (2:1) average is good enough to complete a dissertation, or would I have needed better marks to produce a competent dissertation next year?

I ultimately want to become a doctor (yes, I know, tedious way of becoming one by doing a law degree first!) so if I do decide on a dissertation, it will be in support of my UCAS application for postgrad medicine, possibly on clinical negligence.
