Right I'm thinking of doing schools direct or a PGCE in any case regarding the loan, does anyone know how the repayments work? I believe they won't start being collected until April 2016 and you will pay back 9% of anything over £21,000... My question is will the PGCE one be added to the normal student loan you have from University or will they be two separate ones???? In other words I will already be paying back 9% over £21,000 of my normal student loan from my course will it be an additional 9% for the PGCE as well?? so in total 18% of what I'm earning over £21,000? or will it be a simple 9% but just with more actual debt..... cheers

I'd like to know about this too actually. My guess is that it gets tacked on to previous loans; I did 1 year at my local uni before leaving and going away to another where I got my degree and my student loans balance has lumped them all together.
