Could I get in to York to study computer science with (at GCSE, haven't started A levels yet) an A* in ICT, A in business, A in maths, B in triple science, B in English and a D* Engineering BTEC? This is an incomplete list but it covers most of it. I would gladly accept any advice if you have any.

    Thanks!

York, aren't too strict when it comes to GCSE's. I got an offer for economics with only one A*. What's more important is your personal statement, and making sure it expresses enough passion for the subject, and make sure AS's are solid, as well as having good predicted grades.

GCSE's aren't the be all and end all although it seems like it whilst you're doing them. A-levels are more important. 3 of my GCSE's were C's and I received an offer. I'm sure hundreds of others received offers with similar/worse GCSE's. So don't worry
