    Hey,

I am a prospective vet student with a conditional offer for vet med starting in 2013 at Nottingham Uni.

However the price tag seems to be a bit of an issue.

    Maintenance Loan: £3,823

    Tuition Fee Loan: £9000

    Higher Education Maintenance Grant: £3,354

    Total money available: £16, 177

    Cost per Year:

    Course Fee's: £9000
    Accommodation: £5,079.90

    Total Cost: £14, 079

This would leave me with £2098 over 38 weeks so £55.21 per week. However, I still need books, surgical equipment, food etc.

I was just wondering how current vet students cope with this financial issue, as the workload is so high they cannot work.

Are there any bursaries that I could get that are not from the university?
Is it possible to get sponsorships?

Thanks for your help in advance
