What self catering accommodation close to the uni would you recommend, City campus or Henry Price?

    Hi Sianna

Thanks for your question - accommodation seems to be a hot topic at the moment

We've got 12 self-catered Residences (and 4 catered), I'll try and give you a quick overview of the self-catered halls, and their distance to campus. The best thing to do is click on the links and look at each residence page on our accommodation website.

Henry Price - this is the only self-catered on-campus residence, and because of this can be very popular. It's located on the edge of campus, near the Business School and School of Law.

Central Village - located just off campus, Central Village is one of our newest halls, and is only a few minutes walk from our Sports Centre.

The Tannery and Sentinel Towers - These residences are about 15 minutes walk from the south end of campus, and both offer en-suite rooms.

Montague Burton and Leodis - These residences are only 5 minutes walk from the main entrance/Parkinson Building.

Devonshire Hall - Devonshire offers a mix of self-catered and catered accommodation, and is just 15 minutes walk from campus. Devonshire has a particularly active social calendar!

James Bailie Park and North Hill Court - situated halfway between Headingley and our campus (15 minute walk), these residences offer a mix of shared and en-suite rooms, and share a common room (in James Bailie Park).

Liberty Dock - about 30minutes walk (thought the city centre) from our campus, Liberty Dock is located on the river Aire and has it's own gym and cafe, with shops and restaurants nearby.

Lupton - Located 1.7miles from our campus, Lupton is right in the heart of Headingley, with plenty of shops, bars and pubs nearby.

Oxley - Oxley is furthest away from campus (3.5miles), but is located just off the Otley Road, and most students buy an unlimited term bus pass, so they can travel throughout Leeds without having to pay each journey.

Our catered residences are Charles Morris, Ellerslie Global Residence, Lyddon Hall and Devonshire Hall. I've written another post which focusses on them here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=2317265

The best way to find out more about our accommodation is to come to our Accommodation Viewing day, which is on Saturday 27 April. You don't need to book, but can find out more online at: http://accommodation.leeds.ac.uk/inf...76/viewing_day

Lots of links in this post - but hopefully it will help you make your decision!

Also - here is a link to our Residences Map, it's not to scale but shows where our residences are in relation to the campus: http://accommodation.leeds.ac.uk/inf.../residence_map
