I work at Nando's.

The company are well aware of the leak to their revenue the loyalty cards can be, however, given the current 'boom' Nando's is having as a company in addition to the fact that the loyalty cards bring in more money from genuine customers than is lost, they just don't care.

They've been trialling E-loyalty cards, similar to what you'd find at Subway or a casino, in Scotland and they will be rolled out sometime this year I think.


I was going to post that i presume they'll eventually design an e-system until i read your post.

Nando's is an absolute powerhouse at the moment, Its a fad IMO and will soon blow over I'm sure. I used to go quite regular, in 2009/10 but stopped when it because the 'in' eatery of the '****'.

It won't help them but I doubt it's even making a dint in their business. The majority of people have strong enough morals to not do this. At the end of the day it's the same as shop lifting, which yes, is bad and illegal but also inevitable. I'm not condoning it, just saying that things like this aren't new news and aren't going to stop any time soon. Especially not when things like this are hitting major chain companies who can handle the minor loss unlike small business.

There's no harm in the big businesses losing out on a bit of money to the little guys every now and then.

And I'm serious, I've literally just searched it in Ebay. This is excellent advertising you've given it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will now do this thanks to you.
