My reading list for commercial law focused on assignment and securities. However, only assignment was actually covered in lectures... Should I bother revising securities?

ask your tutor? check your learning outcomes? ask classmates.

I would go over it anyway, just incase.

I know zero about commercial law but, assuming this for an undergrad exam, it's highly unlikely that a topic which wasn't taught will be examined. As you point out, however, it was included in your reading list. The last thing you need to do without good reason is to open up new topics when you're revising. An e mail to a tutor to be on the safe side?
