    Hi i have a bit of a dilemma.
    I live in an area that is about 40 mins commute to UCL
    but, i have also found accomodation for a bargain £103 a week near Hyde park right near the station

    how is life as a commuter
    I am very torn

    I could really use my student loan as student life is just sad living on such a loe budget as i am not that well off

    I would say that living closer to uni, especially at the beginning makes it much easier. Remember that the 40mins you're talking about will probably become one hour during peak-times which makes it two hours commute every day. Plus if you want to socialise with people from uni you will most likely have to come back to the city centre anyways.
