I'm need to do a piece of coursework on SPSS data,
My university system has SPSS software, but I don't at home on my laptop and I really need to start working on it from home or else I'm going to have little time to complete...

I've tried downloading SPSS software but none of them will work and I've heard they come with a lot of viruses... is there anyway other way I can do it?

I need to input the results of questionnaire results on the system before I can even begin to write the essay!

    Thanks for any help/replies x

I used SPSS when working in the private sector a long time ago - from what I remember it was frighteningly expensive because it was quite a specialized piece of software!

There used to be a Student Edition that was sometimes included on a CD with certain types of Marketing book, but if you found one you'd have to fork out for it and it might be several versions behind the one you use at uni.

Only thing I can suggest is you do as much planning/preparation at home and try to reorganize your work so you do all the real SPSS stuff when you're at physically at Uni

Oh, one other thing - I think SPSS can import from text files and Excel data, so if the bit you're worried about is typing the data into the software you could probably get it into a text file or Excel worksheet at home (if you have Excel!) and then do the import and analysis at uni - does this help?
