Drink some water at home and see how long you last before you need to pee

Or just ask when you need to go to the toilet in your exam?

I do it too, I never take drinks in. Doesn't help at all, in fact I spend more time worrying about needing the loo and not having time to go which then makes me perform badly in the exam. Just have a drink ready for when you come out

Suppose it depends on the exam length - I don't fret during an exam that's only sixty minutes, for example. But I don't think I could last in a two hour exam if I drank something at the start D: It's a rational worry - you're nervous enough during an exam without the stress of needing to tinkle!

i wouldnt want to waste time in the toilet and wouldnt feel comfortable with an invigilator escorting me to the toilet. what actually happens when teachers go with students to the toilet during an exam?? they surely cant go inside the cubicle with u can they :s

When taking exams, I didn't drink all that much. I certainly didn't take in any with me.
Its something that follows with you as you get older too. The worry can actually cause it to happen.

For example, I had many times when I was younger where this kind of thing happened.

Its worse if say you drink water, and then go toilet almost straight after. Your body somehow fills up your bladder quicker.
Whereas if you go to the toilet and then drink water, its a slower process.

I never take drinks in, it distracts me and I don't finish (or at least I worry that I won't finish) - not because I'm worried about needing to go to the toilet but because I just keep drinking it.

    nah of course not

they just stand outside and say awkward things to make you feel uncomfortable

if you don't feel comfortable drinking before an exam, just don't do it. or take a bottle in anyway. if you get thirsty an hour in, have a drink

This happens to me too ^_^ I always need the toilet when i'm nervous, and once during my maths GCSE i had to go to the toilet twice! I did actually need to go again but I had to just sit through it or else I didn't stand a chance of finishing the paper, so I barely drink on exam days :'D

Depends on the length of the exam. Drink afterwards if it's 2+hours

I'm not afraid of drinking during an exam if I know I'll be able to go to the bathroom. Otherwise, I'm very careful.

I recommend to drink water in an exam, as it keeps you hydrated therefor your brain works more effectively and apparently study has shown that it can actually increase grades

But obviously don't drink excess amounts, maybe a few sips or a few gulps?
