so excited now, not long! has anyone still to send away their direct debit? i keep forgetting to print mines off, also are we allowed to bring our own bedding? i know they provide us with a bedding pack, but id prefer if i could bring my own pillow/duvet etc
There is nothing to stop you bringing your own bedding. If you use your own sheets, pillow covers and duvet covers you'll need to wash them yourself (which is easily done) - the bed linen that is provided will be laundered for you.

Even if you use the provided bedding, they no longer wash it for you, they stopped last September. You are now provided with brand new linen that you get to keep forever whether you use it or not.
Just accepted my offer for Geddes! 5/28! I hope there's at least going to be people my age on that floor (22) since there's no one on my course (nursing) staying in Geddes.

I think that the 5th floor is mostly for older and/or international students, so no worries! I myself am going to be 21 by the time we move in.
Hi I just got an offer for room 4/26A and I think it's a twin room. It would be great to make some friends before I go because I know nobody and I'm really nervous!
I keep hearing people say it is a dump, but how bad is it really? Why is it worse than the other halls?
It is the cheapest accommodation on campus at £72/week. However the room is standard and to be honest all you're going to be doing in there is sleeping and possibly studying I mean most of the eating, socialising, learning will take place elsewhere eg. your kitchen, common area and lecture halls/library. I've seen the rooms; They are standard, one bed, 3 large storage cupboards above the bed, a desk, window and large breeze block walls - Like the ones in prison movies! :0 So yeah, I'd suggest bringing along some posters/wall decoration (Although you can buy these at Stirling during freshers week!) To answer your question, it's clean, simple and habitable ^^
Hey I'm in room 1/09 wondering if I can meet anybody that will be in the same kitchen as me =O Or the same floor or that cause I've hardly met anyone yet

Hmm, can't understand why people feel too posh for that! I think I'll just apply for Geddes then next year, saves me an extra ten quid a month and if I have a bed I'm happy
