Does the ‘harm principle’ provide a satisfactory reason and the only acceptable reason for limiting people’s freedom?

    Ok, so far I have
-Why you would want to limit freedom (thinking of having that in the introduction)
-The Offence Principle and how it can slide into legal moralism

...and I don't know what else to write :/
Any ideas would be very welcome.

(I originally posted this on Government and Politics but because it's Political Thought, I thought maybe the philosophers could have some good advice)

Paternalism: the people don't know what's good for them!

As a libertarian, I disagree with the above. This is only to help you.

Yes, I was considering writing a bit on paternalism. I thought it might be a bit much to cram into a 2000 word essay seeing as I'm already doing the offence principle and a bit on legal moralism, but I haven't had any other ideas!
