    Hi all,
So basically my mates in a gang, he's dealing drugs etc.
Thing is, we live in hackney, both live on tower blocks so obviously long in a ****hole place like this and the area it's quite easy to get involved. also I was involved in all that gang rubbish a few years back. Not gonna lie, I was dealing drugs, doing stupid stuff etc, so it's not really my place to lecture on gangs. But I was lucky to get out, got my GCSEs, doing my a levels now. but he's not the academic type, so he's doing BTEC IT, and obviously he's realised making money of drugs is quicker then going uni. Any advice on how to help him.

Honest shock, its a hard one, but you need to show him in a way he'll understand and realise he's messed up big time.
There should be groups where there are ex-dealers, etc...... maybe showing what happened to those who got caught or who got so involved there life was at risk.
Other things are looking at the bigger picture, long term life, maybe he's making money from drugs now, what about 10-20 years down the line what is he gonna do when he gets old and he's just some old man hanging around a bunch of young druggies and dealers. What about his parents, and his family, he cant expect them to be supportive and always there for him.
