I'm predicted mostly A stars with a couple of As for GCSE,
I'm thinking of taking Politics, English, Philosophy and History of art for A-level (all essay subjects!), but I am taking my design As level a year early and would like to do the A2 over my two years of sixth form as a fifth, non-timetabled subject.
It would be completely in my own time and would be spread over two years so I would have double the time. It doesn't really fit into what I want to do at Uni (English) but I just enjoy the subject!

    Any advice?
Would it affect my other A-levels?

    Thank you!

As long as you can handle the workload and it's not too stressful, go for it! I did 5 AS levels (one over 2 years, the others all in lower sixth) and I found it okay. If you do begin to struggle, prioritise your timetabled subjects, but you know yourself better than anybody else. If you think you can do it then good for you, go for it!

Ok sounds good, my teacher says I can always drop it any time I want, as it's not timetabled, but I will give it a go! Thanks for your help
