    Hi there

I will be doing NC animal care after the summer, along with an open uni module (unrelated to the NC).

The open uni used to provide its own funding so you could a fee waiver/ course paid and it wouldn't affect any government funding you get for any full time courses at other institutions. However, now open uni uses the part time fee grant which is run by SAAS. It's a £500 per year grant anyone can get each calendar year regardless of prior study as long as you are studying a course that is level 7-11 on the scqf framework.

My question is, because its now SAAS , would it affect my NC tuition fees being paid if I apply for this grant for OU. I'm under the impression you shouldn't be getting any other government funding if you use the grant but if its replacing ILA 500, you were able to use that regardless if you are in full time education.

Very confused and keep getting conflicting info from SAAS =/
