If you used 1.700 as mue the C question would have given you a completely different answer than if you used 1.699 - 10% difference in the answer,

is 1.699 appropriate to use as 3dp? or would u have needed to make it 1.700 in which case the answer to C would have been totally different???
i think both are correct .. guys you have to understand that the whole normal distribution tables are an aproximation themselves .. so it wont differ .. dont worry

but since they are two conversations it is multiplied by 10/54 (since the probability decreases by one)..
giving 1/27 ..

It has to be less than 60. That paper was unlike any other paper i have seen. Where were the mean questions, standard deviations, quartiles, drawing histograms? Unfair paper.

yeah it wasn't like anything the other papers at all
when i first opened the paper, i thought i sat the wrong exam coz the first question one had a bit of writing to do which was strange for an maths exam...

i hope the boundries for an A are like 51-55 raw marks.... i doubt it will be though since so many of you seem to have done well

offcourse he would consider it easy .. he is a teacher .. the examiners would look at how the students performed and not the other way around ..

No, you missed the point entirely. He believes it to be easier than the past papers. So did I, to be honest - the only part of stats I really struggle with is probability, and the probability question on this paper was nicely simple.
