Contract law help (estoppel and duress)?

I would say that it is probably not duress. Duress needs to be more serious, usually involving threats and risk to life and limb etc. I don't think offering to buy something at a reduced price and accepting because you are desperate quite comes under this... At least this is what I can remember from my contract law days over 2 years ago!

As for what the question really asks for I'm not too sure, I can't really help in that respect. But I honestly don't think it is to do with duress.
