Lilian Knowles

I just got an accomodation offer in Lilian Knowles House. I think I have a single with a little kitchen, as I've specificially requested such arrangement, so that's good. But, LK is supposed to be very far from LSE and its surrounding area isn't too great (from what I've heard). Should I accept this offer or find a personal housing near LSE? I'll be a first year student there, so I'd like to live in a dorm for a while to get to know others. Any information regarding this location would be appreciated. Thanks.

housing close to the LSE will be expensive, hard to find (if ur not in UK), plus ull miss out on alot of student debauchery in halls

it is far..but it has what you want..

George Bush - I too received an offer from Lilian Knowles. I am 22 and from the US. I'll be doing a MSc in Political Communication. I've heard that LK is really nice since it's brand new. Of course the east London location is not ideal, but oh well.

I am still trying to decide if I am going to enroll for 2006-2007 ot defer for a year and work in DC.

I got an offer from Lilian Knowles too. Have accepted the offer. It's 30 mins away but at least it's new...and I don't want to go through the hassle of looking for private accomodation.

I'm doing MSc Finance & Econ, and will have to be in London before 1st Sept. However, my contract for Lilian Knowles start from 24th Sept. Anyone in this situation too?

Firstly, congratulations on your offer. If you don't mind me asking, why do you have to be in London before 1st September? When does the term start for postgraduates?

Hi there,

There is a pre-sessional course for MSc Finance/Econ students starting 4th Sept, and registration is on 1st Sept.
