why do i have no problem getting chatted up by guys a lot older than me, or have them genearally being "nice" *ahem* to me, but guys my own age want nothing to do with me.

Maybe they like younger girls? Who knows? It could be a number of reasons, but maybe you haven't met enough people yet to convince you that there are some males your age who are attracted to/ like you.

I did my GCSEs in a school of 2000+ and none of the guys like me. I went to a new place for A'levels, and again guys don't like me.
I've had guys that are 25 interested in me, and also a guy older than my dad (!!).

Dont fall for the ****. I used to only be attracted to older guys because they make u feel 'wanted and pretty and taken care of'...that's all bull **** ok. They like young girls because they are vulnerable and know half the mess they throw at you would not fly with someone their own age. If you are attracted to these older guys as well, the attraction is illusory. Older guys know how to feed into your ego..then one day you'll realize he switched things on you and you are the one hooked on him and now he's got you, the naive little thing you are and it is a bitch getting out...

I had exactly the same thing, when I was in junior high I kept attracting men (20+), not boys my own age. Obviously I didn't do anything with them because it would have been disgusting. I guess I looked mature for my age. Teenage boys can be quite shy talking to girls anyway, as older guys don't mind chatting someone up that much. Now that I am 20+ myself and look pretty much the same as in junior high guys I date are my own age. Managed to pull off a younger bloke once as well! =D

Only thing alot of these older guys want is they see you as young and fresh and think straight away they can take you to bed then run off and leave you, not guys but some seem to like looking for what they call some young fresh meat.

Some of these posts are so judgmental, sure some men see younger girls as easy targets but you can just meet someone older/ younger than you and take a shine to each other. It does happen! I fancy older older blokes sometimes, ie one of the security guards at work.. he's really funny and kind and hot IMO..but he's mid thirties and I'm 19.
