Meets can be great - and can be a little odd.

Its best to have something planned to do so if conversation gets a bit short (usually through nerves) there's always the situation to talk about (my first meet was in a chinese resteraunt so we had the food to talk about)

Well, although pretty much everyone on here probably wouldn't say the same about me, there are some people on this forum who i would actually like to meet up with, just because they sound like the sort of people i'd get on with.

I tend to avoid talking to anyone on the phone where-ever possible - I actually met hubby in person (or to be more exact got into his car:rolleyes: ) before I'd spoken to him on the phone

Phones are evil in general.
Its like talking to someone invisible, and hearing voices in your head.

The number isn't actually there???

But i don't see what the problem is of giving you mobile no. out.
I give it to pretty much anyone who would actually want it.

Of course that means nobody, but still...

Well giving your phone number out in public will probably lead to pranks and the like which get very irritating very fast

So?
People never call me, so i wouldn't really mind.
I'd post it up here if anyone wanted me to, or just message it to them or something.

But the good thing is that nobody ever wants me to, so there isn't a problem.

I doubt anyone can be that bothered...in fact I'm willing to risk it (since I don't answer my phone if it's not a recognised number anyway and 90% of the time I have it switched off) my number is 07971431321

I wont answer it because I don't talk to anyone on the phone bar hubby and my immediate family/in-laws

its gettin people to do it tho...
I think that the reason why it is so difficult to get people to meet up, is the matter of trust. You cant really be 100% sure that you can trust anyone here, unless you have known some of the members from the past.

The sad thing is that i automatically put the number into my phone...

Don't worry. Its a joke that only i seem to be able to understand.
But listening to yourself from a phone, or recording or anything always makes you sound really bad.

Meet? It'd be an interesting idea, but there are far too many kids on here! Me included.

Could you imagine how you'd feel if you arranged a meet and found out some 14 year old girl had sneaked out of home to be with everyone else, who were a load of uni students hoping to get pissed?
