Really ticks me off. I missed a 5 mark question in a practise paper because of a stupid mistake on a question I rushed when finding a percentage. I was multiplying 4 X 350. I took the shortcut of multiplying 4 x 35 to get 140 and then add the 0 on. I forgot to add the zero on lol. I hate when I miss out on easy marks (a friggin 5 mark question) due to the most stupid mistakes.

Yep, I've done the same thing so many times. The amount of times I just get my times tables wrong at the start of a question which means I get the rest of it wrong is unbelievable. I mean, I can do stuff like circle theorems, but basic maths? No.

Sometimes I will work something out then just write down a random number

I sometimes forget to round to 1 sig fig or work the answer out correctly but make it more complicated because it seems too easy for the amount of marks. But I'm generally weak at maths so when I make a mistake with the easier questions it sometimes can make the difference between a pass and a fail

Yup, I know how you feel. I got a mock back the other day which was 90% but when I looked over it I found that I knew how to do 9/10 of the ones I got wrong.
