The magnitude is also dependent on the stick and how well you hold it. It needs to be held nice and firm

I agree.
I can teach you if you want, just ask somebody to borrow there's for practise. You need to find a small one though first to start off then when you are used to it you an increase in size

good point, everybody is different. Nobody has the same technique when handling the balls so it's good that you watch because you can use their strengths/weakness to allow your team to win
