I'm about to enroll for a psychology degree with the open university, i am currently working part time, have a baby, and husband receiving carers allowance, we'r on full housing benefit now. I was wondering if I apply for tuition fee loan to pay for my course fees will that affect my housing benefit?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

I haven't heard of it doing so, but each local council has their own policies which do differ. You could call up your citizen advice people, email the open university or contact your local council to ask them.

AFAIK, OU study shouldn't affect your benefits as it's part-time study.

Fee loans are ignored. If you (you won't because you can't get them with the OU) received any loans or grants for living (maintenance loan / maintenance grant) your housing benefit will be affected.
