Is there any official article which states what category prison people will go to in the UK depending on their crime?
For example would someone who commited fraud end up in Category A (max security) prison?
Or someone convicted of robbery but didn't use intimidation / violence ect?
How are crimes categorised?

It all depends on the judge I believe, violent and dangerous criminals generally end up in Cat A. Someone who committed fraud would probably be in much lower security depending on how it was carried out.
