TK Maxx Interview Help?? Watch
I'm due to leave school next week and I wanted a part time summer job so I handed a few CVs in to different shops and hoped for the best. TK Maxx rang me this morning and asked if I was still looking for work and if I'll be able to come in for an interview tomorrow.
I need some help on what to expect, what is the interview process like? I've not had experience before or any type of interview so it is all new to me and I'm starting to worry haha!
If anyone has worked there before or can give me any information I'd be grateful
Don't worry too much try to just be yourself, if you get the job you'll more than likely be working along side the person interviewing you at some point. people can tell if your being fake in a interview and it can count against you! So just be yourself only a little more professional, like when they ask you what you do in your spare time don't tell them you watch Game of Thrones or paint beautiful landscapes. That's your chance to brag about how suitable you are for the job e.g play a team sport means you're a good team player, socialising, stress how you love meeting and interacting with people. Some typical questions might be why do you want to work here? (The company has a good reputation) say something to that degree lol try to get across that you're really into customer service! You like working in a team and also individually! Think of some examples you can use to show how well you worked in a team like being a group leader in a project at school or something like that. Might be a good idea to get some extra info on the company. Also dress appropriately. Smart trousers or a smart skirt keep it formal. The person interviewing you will form a much better opinion on you. That's all I can really think of tbh. Don't sweat it, it's only another person at the end of the day good luck!

ok this is up to date,
youll be taken to usually the rest room,
they can accommodate most interviewees here, in my case around 20+
take a seat, youre all together but sat on separate tables.
the interviewer will have a clipboard of names and call them out just to check everyone's present ect
youll be asked to stand up and tell everyone about yourself, age ,achievements blahh
then you'll be handed a five page customer service questionnaire
you're given a scenario then tick a box then explain you're reasoning for selecting that box.
once there collected, and while marking them,
youre given the shop floor task
based on B,F,Q,P BRAND, FASHION QUALITY PRICE
your given a dept., say home wear, you go down pick up a item bring it back
and explain to the whole class why its a good buy.
you could mention if shoes, brand style, stitching ,quality, price what price other retailers sell it for and the saving,
mention a family member buys this item and they pay x amount and how much cheaper it is in tkm,
then youre done.
they tell you they will call out a list of names to stay and and if youre not on it , well
hope this helps,
Are the customer service questions hard or is it more they could accept any answer you put down (within reason) as long as you've justified yourself?
Also since its a new shop opening I don't think they'd have us do the shop floor task so any ideas what they would have us do instead?
