bank accounts for employed 16/17 year old? Watch

    what bank accounts do you suggest for a 16, 17 soon employed student? the two main ones I have looked at are a Halifax cash card and under 19s 16-18? help please need to set one up immediately as I have just got my first job. thanks

    i've had a lloyds under 19s bank account since i was 13 and it's pretty good... don't know about halifax. i suggest looking at a comparison site.

    thanks it looks the best but my nan wants me to go to Halifax because that's whos shes with and theres a nearby branch, but does that make any difference?

    i do all of my banking online anyway - never even been into the bank after i set it up! bless your nan, though.

    Theyre all the same in essence buddy so it doesnt really make much difference... HSBC id go with though but thats simply bec ause i use them abroad a lot.
