LSE accommodation VS. Intercollegiate UoL halls

UPDATE - Already submitted my accommodation application thanks!

Hi I just got an offer from LSE, I have to make an accommodation application really quickly.

I will be a postgrad international student doing an MSc in global history

Which is better intercollegiate or LSE halls?

I am thinking about

LSE: Northumberland and High Holborn and Grosvenor House - edit revised list

UoL: International and Canterbury

Does anyone have any advice? Which are the best places to live?

Are any of them more laid back with having guests and girlfriends living in your room for more than a week?

I guess I care about bathrooms, having my own room, and having a good sized bed most.

Also I am not quite sure how it works, you enter for a lottery, then you get a priority with which they weight your choices?

thanks for any help

You absolutely must apply to Grosvenor House. It's undoubtedly the best accommodation for postgrads if price isn't much of an issue.

International Hall is the best UoL hall from what I gather.. Commonwealth isn't too bad either.

AFAIK with regards to hiding girls, do whatever you want as long as you don't get caught. :p:

Cost isnt an issue. Location and bathroom access are biggies.

I was also keen on Northumberland if I can get a single - is an MSc student safe from being given a double?

High Holborn also sounded ok.

I would kind of like to be with undergrads since I am only 21... but if the postgrad hall is miles better that might be the deciding factor. I will go research grosv... thanks for the tip

I was also keen on UoL - International and Canterbury... do you think the LSE ones I like are better than UoL? I am also keen on getting to know people at other colleges.

TBH I have no personal experience with the halls (evidently), so you might be better off searching the LSE board for experiences by alumni members.

i would have put HH above north and Gros single as 1st, personally. If you are in Gros you can use HH facilitys anyway afaik (but not vice versa)

Yeah but North is near the Commonwealth club which I am a member of.

Still I put Grosv 1st, isnt that best for rooms?
