Hello guys, I'm coming up to 18 years old fairly soon and I worry about the lack of direction I have in my life. I'm quite aware that this is a common thought around my age but I literally have nothing I want to achieve in my life or any sort of motivation to be able to anything.

Its been like this for a while though, I would say a good two year ago when I finished playing football I had dreams and a goal that I was taking that path in life after working so hard since I was 8 years old to get there. But once I reached that age I knew that it was not for certain that it would happen and I would need a back up plan.

Fast forward to now and I am still in the same predicament as I was then and the days and weeks seem the just blend into each other I really want to have the same feeling of working towards something and have some sort of direction.

Please reply, any help would be welcomed.

I remember being in a similar situation when I was 18 I'd think one day 'I really want to do this' then a week later I'd change my mind and then was back where I started.

I got quite down around 19 when I found my sight getting worse by the day and lost any bit of determination I once had.

One point last year I had one of those 'always look on the bright side' kind of moments where I decided enough is enough and I needed to move on from all the negatives I'd been focused on for far too long since that day I've never looked back to how I was.
If I wanted to make something out of life then the only person stopping me was me.

One day it will just hit you what you want in life and you'll have no idea where it came from but everything will just click together.

Thanks for the reply . I think I've experienced that feeling a couple of times which is what keeps me going but I hope you are right about everything clicking into place.
