    I definitely wouldn't talk to the teacher without at least telling her that you're going to. I'd try and persuade her to go herself and offer to accompany as moral support. If she still puts it off and you're still really concerned, I'd speak to the teacher but only after you've told your friend that's what you're going to do. I reckon she'll probably come along if she knows you're going to anyway.
    Is she receiving support from her GP for her depression? It might be worth suggesting an appointment for your friends' family to see a GP together to discuss how best to support her? I think with her exams coming up soon, she really needs to be able to focus at home and having an non-supportive family can be incredibly hindering.
    But honestly, the most important thing you need to do is make sure she knows you're always there for her nomatterwhat. Let her know you're worried and just want to help.
