After January's exams I told my teacher I didnt even finish the exam which upset me because I knew the answers just I take forever to read and write, but I've just been told I have been given extra time for every exam. I feel like I'd be a cheat if I used it, but I need all the UMS I can get :L

I kinda feel like I don't deserve the time because I don't suffer dyslexia or whatever else, but at the same time I don't want to drop a load of marks over questions I actually know the content for.

....so do you think it's wrong to take the extra time?
And do universities see who uses extra time or not?

Universities won't know that you had extra time in the exams. If you need it, take it. When you go to university, it is a LOT more intense in exams etc (sometimes 3-4 hour exams) so you'll benefit from having it there too possibly

They can't just give out extra time on a whim. What reason did they give?

When it comes to important things like exams and life, Take every opportunity you get. there is no shame in getting support. Because I have Dyslexia and other health issues, I have a scribe and extra time. I would not consider you a cheat for the above reason.

I'm not sure if Universities do see that you have extra time. if they did, there's nothing to worry about. the school/college chose to give you more time so its up to them.

You get given extra time, there's so many people who would kill for some extra time in exams. Take advantage of it!! I would! Unis don't know you get extra time in exams.

Don't feel like you don't deserve it - just sit there feeling smug when everyone else has to stop writing and you still have those extra minutes in your exam
