Hi guys I'm 23 years old and wanting to apply for a role in the RAF but I need to re sit my GCSE maths and English. iv applied at my local collage to re sit this september and it'll take me a year to do them both on evenings after work. Is there another way I can re sit them and pass this year for example a private company or adult learning centres I don't mind paying extra to fast track things? .. Thanks guys

The only options are Summer and November. The summer exam season has already started and the controlled assessment deadlines have passed for English so you are too late for English this summer and realistically too late for Maths - it's treble fees to enter, very hard to find a centre to accept you this late and the exams are the first week in June. There is a November sitting you could try - it might not be feasible for English as you'd have to get the controlled assessment done but there isn't any for Maths so it might be worth self teaching and having a go.

Okay thanks for the info. Who do I contact for the November sitting? Does that mean I study now and sit the exam in November?

You need to find an exam centre (any secondary school or college) willing to accept you as a private candidate - there is advice on the various exam board websites. Edexcel and AQA are the most popular boards for maths. It's not possible to enter until September and the deadline is 4 October
