Yes, its shared among all services, so if your inbox is already 5GB worth, you will only have 10GB left for actual storage. 30GB is for paid business customers I believe, unless I am mistaken.

However, Copy recently started a free cloud service - worth 20GB, if you sign up here. It has apps for all platforms too, in many ways it is like Dropbox, which is a great thing.

(EDIT: 22GB, not 20GB as pointed out.)

Copy gives 22GB if you download the client (+5GB), sign up using your sneaky link (+5GB) and post about it on twitter(+2GB) I've downloaded it but I'm a little reluctant to use it as it's a company I've never really heard of before and they could easily just disappear at any point without anyone really noticing.

True, I forgot to mention the Twitter thing. So yes, it actually is 22GB.

I doubt the company would do a runner. The cloud storage is definitely not the sole reason for their existence - they are a private IT security firm (Barracuda Networks) that provide loads of other services for businesses and firms.

And if you don't trust them that much, you could always keep your important work files on your Dropbox account (very reputable), but keep say your music, or other media backed up on it - in the end it is a lot of free storage space!

I personally will not put any work files on it, but will add loads of other stuff/media to it.

Yahoo say that now they've aquired Flickr they're giving 1TB free storage. I couldn't take that many photos if I wanted to, and certainly wouldn't have the bandwith.
