# partial fractions c4 Watch

1. question 3 a

i can get the right answer, I find A and C first and equate coefficients to find B

but I seem to keep getting B=5 when equating x^2 coefficients, but 1 when i equate x and constant coefficients...

can someone try it out show me how to get it right for x^2?

Well the working is there in the markscheme.

Perhaps show your working where you get B=5, and we can check what you're doing.

coefficient of on left hand side is 2 and on right hand side it is so we have
