Is there any way I can make my car play music from my phone?

Other than getting a new stereo... I have no AUX thing and no tape player. My radio has rubbish reception and the CD I burnt doesn't work properly.

It's a 2001 Corsa btw, i'd like to know if there is anything I can use to play music from my phone or iPod directly to the stereo?

Same problem here i bought a car fm transmitter cost me £10, works nice!

How good is the range of the transmission? My aerial is on the top of my car at the back. Is yours the same?

shouldn't really be a problem just need to tune your car FM to the one with a high static noise (mine is at 103.7 or something) then same on the FM transmitter play from your phone it will play through car
Fm transmitters are pretty cheap on EBay-mines cost 4 quid and I use it with my galaxy s3 in my 1999 vauxhall corsa lol.

audio can sound pretty bad, like when you on a radio station that is not a full signal

its different radio channel for everyone but you need to play around with your car radio and find one with loud static noise

and use that channel on your fm transmitter to get the best audio

its straight forward buy the one you think you like and take it from there
