You are short sighted but not majorly. You need them to see objects that are further away

I am also short sighted, and a similar amount.

I tend to wear my glasses if I am at the back of the class in schoolso I can read the whiteboard and projector screen, in theatre and cinema, and I'll wear them when I start driving so I can read signs and see obstacles further ahead.
Also if you go sightseeing it might be an idea to take them.

Thankfully you won't need to wear them that often unless your sight deteriorates more.

However, lots of people, even those with only minor short-sighted-ness will wear their glasses all the tie so they don't forget to take them places.

    As much as you want.

My eyes are both -1 but I wear my glasses all the time, mainly for convenience.

I'm one of these, although I'm now longsighted. I also get eye strain; so would rather wear them all the time to reduce this.

Wear them when you feel you need them.

I am trying to wear mine as less as possible. If I wear them for too long and get used to them my vision without them gets worse. I think it is psychological but still it does have an effect on me. Others may disagree but that's how I feel.

I only started really wear glasses for school, TV and computer when I had -1.75 and astigmatism...
