Hi Mark Lee,
I'm applying for 2013/2014 PGCE. I applied for a tuition fee loan only and was hoping I would get a maintenance grant as I will have no income of my own whilst studying and am supporting myself.
Today however I received a declaration for just a tuition fee loan in the post. Do I have to apply for a maintenance grant separately or does this mean that I am not eligible?
I have also made an error on my form, on the question that asks if you have completed a qualification equal to or greater than the one you intend to study this year. I ticked yes which is incorrect. Will this have stopped me receiving the grant?
I also claimed to be self-supporting and sent in 1.5 years worth of wage slips which I have since received back. Could the lack of the full 3 years' worth of evidence have prevented me from receiving the grant?
Thank you in advance

Yes this has prevented you from receiving the grant unfortunately and from receiving the maintenance loan.
You need to send a letter confirming your mistake and requesting for it to be amended.
You should also send a copy of this form to be income assessed: http://bit.ly/XC14r5 and your parents can support your application by each sending a copy of this form: http://bit.ly/YlOk6F
Hope this helps,
