    Moving away to a more "prestigious" uni while racking up a huge debt or staying at home to a "lesser" university to save on costs?

    btw it would be an accredited degree at both institutions.

    Stay at the better uni - high unemployment stats for the country is hardly affecting the best universities, it's better to get a job later and pay of the (relatively speaking) only slightly more greater debts...

    what's the actual difference anyway?

    I'm in Scotland so the money I would have to pay back would be accommodation and other general things (as the education is free) that I might spend a loan on. The uni close to home has better graduate prospects than the far away one.
