    Basically a diagram shows a graph of x^2+y^2=25 but i dont understand it thanks anyway in advance

    I think I actually sat this paper for my GCSE,

    Well first off a linear graph is a straight line and the equation given is y=x, you need to draw this onto the graph, you must then locate a point of intersection of the circle and the line for part(a). This is the same as solving simultaneously but you use a graph rather than algebra.

    For (b) hopefully you noticed 12.5 is half of 25, and on the line y=x the x-value is always equal to the y-value. It should be fairly simple if you get these basic facts.
