Well I don't know you're personal circumstances but of the five apprenticeships I applied for the closest (and the one I got) is based 60 miles away. I'm going to have to work all summer to get a deposit down on a house closer to it with my mate and run a car, which technically speaking isn't 100% ideal but it should be an exciting experience in its own way. Unfortunately I think in the current climate you can't afford to be picky- I don't need to tell you interviews don't exactly grow on trees at the moment! A foot in the door is well worth putting up with some inconvenience for if it's an apprenticeship you really want. That's my opinion anyway.
