For the data references, is it simply enough to state it or would you have to explain it? For example, the question is 'with reference to extract 1, explain what is meant by a modest increase in the fiscal defecit'. Would it be enough to copy the quote 'The Chancellor increased planned spending by around £15 billion in total over 2011/12 and 2012/13, while recovering on £9 billion through new tax increase' or would you have to explain the figures and say that the increase is worth £6 billion? Thanks

    Hi,

First off, you can do that, that's fine. However try to credit the source and which lines you used it.

Personally, I would avoid copying because anybody can copy paragraphs and get a load of marks, but it also wastes time.

    Just put : "_____________" (Extract 1, Lines A-B)
