    Look at the Youtube Colourful Solutions site. There are many videos taking you through the Lewis structure and shapes of molecules.

    These are fantastic videos!!
    I could not recommend these videos enough. The video clips go through many 'tricky' structures and helps give you a feel of how to tackle these problems.

    Its all about the most efficient packing of ligands around the central atom. Learn these important geometries and how to predict the number of lone pairs. Once you have that its really easy!
