I'm currently about to finish Year 12 and at the start of the year, I chose Further maths, maths, applied business and physics.

After about two weeks, I looked at work we were doing and I thought that it was too hard. My teacher said it was just overwhelming. In the end, I dropped the subject and now I'm doing just the three ASs. The thing is, I'm regretting dropping it, because I thought I missed the challenge of doing it. I now know what my maths teacher told me was true. However, I found it hard and I was slow to understand, unlike my class who were able to go along with the pace of the learning. I was the only one that couldn't keep up.

Now, I'm just in the midst of May/June exams. In the normal Edexcel Maths AS, I'm doing fine, I got 95/100 in the C1 paper we did in Jan. I'm confident I'm going to get an A in the upcoming S1 exam tomorrow, C2, I think I might get a B at this stage.

For business, I'm doing absolutely horrendous. I've currently failed to hand in Business coursework on time. Thus, I couldn't get the grades I'd like to have got. My target grade is a B, and I'm on a E overall with an exam coming up that I know I'm going to fail.

For physics, I'm trying but maybe my work ethic isn't good enough for it because I got a D for the Unit 1 physics exam in Jan which was nothing like any past paper. I'm currently gonna do the Unit 2 exam in June, hopefully to get the A I need to boost my overall AS grade.

As you can see, my A levels are a mock. I know for a fact I'm going to end up with a U/E for Business. A for maths. C/D for Physics. I want to do electrical engineering at University. (Warwick to be exact). I don't know what to do for next year. Should I retake my AS again? Should I pick different subjects for next year but carry on with A2 Maths?

I was thinking of doing Further maths next year because I was too stupid to understand that I have to take on the challenge and revise hard. What do you think I should do? I'm the kind of person who loves getting great grades at Maths. Not too keen on Business. I do not enjoy it, and I picked it because my parents said go for it and I thought it'd be easy.
