So I fell out with an ex about 2 months ago. We were just starting to get onto speaking terms again so it really sucked :\ I made the effort to go to their birthday where all their best friends would be and I'm glad I did because not many people from our course came which was a shame. Anyway so I did something that upset them quite a bit and I got deleted of fb etc.

I am honestly sorry for what happened and I can only wish they could at least be on speaking terms with me again. I know to give it time (and lots of time) so i'm really not expecting any improvement until at least September when we all come back for second year and maybe I can say hi to them and see their response?

They were running for a position at uni the other day and I texted them to say good luck but I got no reply.

Is there anything I can do or should I just forget about them altogether.

Note: My reasons for being friends with them is not to 'get them back' or whatever. I got over that a long time ago

You can try apologising again, but if they've decided they're done with you then there's not a lot that can be done. You can just try your best and then after that you've got to keep on moving. Losing friends is an unfortunate part of life.
