Severe tonsilitis - really messing up my life atm Watch

I was diagnosed with acute tonsillitis on Tuesday, and given Penicillin for it.
However, I feel much worse today (Friday). I cannot eat, drink, speak, and I have literally got no energy. I was wondering if anyone knows how much longer it'll take for me to get better, or if I should go back to the doctors asap. Thanks!

Sorry this is a bit late replying! Is this still a problem? If so you should probably get to see your gp.
I felt just like this a few weeks ago, and when I went back to the doctors they told me to have a blood test for glandular fever, and it turned out positive - so it turns out I had been on a weeks antibiotics for tonsillitis for nothing - so you should try and sort it out ASAP. Hope this helps, and get well soon
