Anyone know why the female gametes of goldfish are larger than human female gametes? Cheers

Contain more cytoplasm/yolk/food/nutrients.

I've jus registered, so I hope nobody minds me adding to this. As an aside...

Goldfish zygotes have to survive outside of some sort of womb too (hence the need for more nutrients). They need to keep alive until they're developed enough to get to more food.
